Project |COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRISTS | MULTIPLE COURSE DEVELOPMENT

I was responsible for the development of numerous professional CPD courses that require optometrists to obtain CET points to continue to practice. All courses were fully online during the Coronavirus pandemic.
​
Utilising various tools and techniques I produced video lectures (recorded on zoom and edited), podcasts, flipbooks, edited Adapt content, produced MCQ's and provided all graphical elements throughout the site.

Course content was tracked and delivered through the Totara LMS

Project |PEARSON BLACKBOARD RE-DESIGN & MIGRATION TO SAAS
​
Pearson College are an private education provider offering degree courses that are validated and awarded by the University of Kent.
​
Initially my role was to troubleshoot their Blackboard installation and take full administrative control. This expanded into a much larger project involving a complete redesign and migration to SAAS from a managed hosting solution.
The redesign received fantastic feedback from Universities in the UK and internationally when presented at the Blackboard user group in London.

Project |PEARSON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CHATBOT x2
​
Development of x2 Artificial Intelligence chatbots. Utilising the Google Dialogflow Artificial Intelligence engine in conjunction with Kommunicate Human & Bot Hybrid Customer support software.
The bots were integrated into the Blackboard Learn environment to a) reduce the burden on student services and b) as a tool for staff to locate Panopto training materials.

This was the first evidence of a chatbot embedded into Blackboard in the UK
​
Solutions presented to several UK Universities and has since prompted follow up enquiries from universities wanting to do the same.

Project |PEARSON OVER x100 INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS
​
Development of over 100 instructional videos created for staff/student development & training.
​
How to... Videos were created to support staff learning how to use a broad range of tools including Blackboard VLE, Panopto, Collaborate conferencing software. Most videos were short pieces of instructional content lasting no longer than 5mins.
​
Video was also used in courses and embedded in SCORM objects for student and staff development.

Cirrus E-Learning provide elearning materials and courses for the Royal School of Military Engineers, Mid-Kent College and bespoke e-learning development to the commercial sector. Managing a programme of online courses it was my responsibility to undertake the day to day project management of third party and in-house development teams, evaluate suitable LMS systems for selling content and produce interactive content.

Satcom Direct provide satellite communication systems for Business and Military Aircraft. My remit was to undertake a requirements analysis and make recommendations for a suitable LMS. I also had to redevelop some of their e-learning materials for online distribution.

Working with this well respected charity to create an interactive Curriculum Guide for distance learning courses. The guide began as a static .pdf and has been re-developed to be an interactive course catalogue.

This Free e-learning module was developed by DEMM for the National Institute for Adult and Community Education. The materials were originally developed for Digital Champions as part of the EU Funded DigLit 2.0 project and have been adapted and made available under the Creative Commons 3.0 (BY-NC-SA).

These Pieces of content were developed working alongside SME's in Prisons to be placed onto their Virtual Campus VLE. The content must pass rigorous security checks and numerous system constraints.

Instead of just sending out a standard .PDF for their partners The Manchester College wanted to redevelop their magazine to be distributed in a more interactive way.

Working with the SFA and Ministry of Justice and SME's to produce Recycling course materials using Courselab Content Authoring Tool.
